Discuss Digital Marketing with Raghu Seelamsetty

The first question came from Dr. Pranav, Founder at Sugar 365 days “ What are the effective digital marketing strategies in the healthcare space?”
Raghu Seelmasetty (Raghu) answered that – “Search, Social and Content marketing works well. Spend more time on Google and social especially with Facebook. The next question to answer is – ‘How do you get prominence on Google?’ – run adwords however, this is short lived and expensive at times. SEO works well for healthcare companies, especially through content marketing. Build content that is shared and link back into content to perform well on Google. Make your website a living organism using content. Your goal should be to get people naturally onto your website. With a pun intended, Raghu also mentioned that, “the best page to hire a dead body is the second page of Google.”
Tip: Outbrain and Taboola are two content tools that you should explore.
Alok, BD Consultant wanted to understand more about the Digital marketing B2B scenario especially if the case is in ERP for transportation industry.
Response to ‘How should we use digital marketing for B2B?’ Define your audience. Start targeting using Linkedin. How to reach out to CEO at Gati? – subscribe to specific people on Linkedin. You need to position yourself as thought leaders by publishing content as much as possible.
Chaitanya from Perceptive Analytics asked, “Content needs content writers and graphic designers. How should we tackle this?” and a question about website, “Full screen backgrounds. Great videos being played – how does it work from a conversion perspective?”
Raghu’s solution for the first question is ‘Outsource content building – Fivrr is one platform to hire content writers. Full screen backgrounds are popular and need to tested to which type of websites they work for. You will only that by testing. For display ad campaigns – Sizmek can be used.’
Leeladhar, Founder at Happy Minds Staffing Solutions was curious to know about his app that notifies about the jobs, create a selfie video and share it with the world. How do we get more action happening to the app?
Here is a step-wise process suggested at the event:
  • Run an analysis of your business.
  • Analyse at what point the conversion is failing.
  • See where your visitors are dropping off.
Gautam from an IT startup wanted to figure out – In e-commerce industry giants spend a lot of money. What are the tools that startups could use?
Raghu says, ” Look at the unique proposition if you are an ecommerce company that can be offered to your target audience even before creating your digital marketing strategy”
Pawan Bhusari, Co-founder Abiogenesis mentioned targets both managers who are non technical with decision makers who are in the technical domain. How should I fill the gap between the two mindsets?
Raghu shares an analogy ‘Don’t sell medium temperature coffee to 2 people where one likes hot coffee and the other likes cold coffee.’ You will have to create two different communication and digital marketing plans with different content that attracts both mindsets.
Sathya, from Chennai asks how can digital marketing can help the HR industry? Raghu says tools are indispensable for digital marketing. Hence, constantly look for tools that meet your needs.

Life at iKeva: Productivity Through Activity

As The Dalai Lama once said, happiness is not ready-made. We know that to be true, especially in a workplace. This however can change when there are plenty of engaging events and activities planned to keep spirits at the office high. With that in mind, we create experiences for our clients and employees that help lower stress levels and bring them closer together.
Our creative office workspaces come with various activities that integrate the work with plenty of fun. Keeping morale high with plenty of engaging activities has proved to increase productivity and keeps the work moving smoothly. In keeping with the Christmas spirit, we organized a Secret Santa for everyone in our offices. Everyone across our workspaces picked someone for whom they could play Secret Santa for a day. It was a fun event, made all the more interesting with many people from different companies participating and getting to know each other.
We organize plenty of activities at iKeva. Carom competitions, dumb charades and Antakshari are just the tip of the event iceberg in our offices. These activities encourage discussions and conversations among the individuals from different companies in our workplaces. It’s these things that create a work friendly culture, making a healthy work environment for everyone.
We also plan activities and outreach programs for audiences beyond our workspaces like community-building activities. We held a Quiz competition on Gandhi Jayanti just for this, with the main topic being Mahatma Gandhi. We believe it our duty to reach out to society as a whole as well as other communities out there, building a network and establishing channels of communication with them.
Another regular feature at iKeva is the Q&A session. We organize panel discussions as well, with pioneers in society and their respective fields as a regular part of our schedule. Social Media Guru Raghu Seelamsetty came down to iKeva as part of a digital marketing workshop/ panel discussion. We held plenty of other such events, like the workshop on lean patenting for startups, using Facebook as a lead generation tool and many more events. We also hold tight to our Corporate Social Responsibility with events such as environmental awareness programs, donation of clothes during events of disaster and frequent health camps that increase health awareness and ensures that the people in our offices, employees and clients alike are in the best of health.
Happiness is a big part of our business model. We believe strongly that happy people make for happy, productive workspaces. We pride ourselves on being creative, engaging and providing the best experience to our clients and employees and so, we work towards strengthening the bonds in our workspaces so you can have a creative, productive and incredibly collaborative and social workspace. Unity in Diversity is a motto we firmly believe in and, we include it in all we do, for a complete productive workspace experience.

Your City is Choking You! Act Now.

Delhi’s odd-even rule, while quite ambitious proved to have worked, with the hourly particulate air-pollution concentration cut down by at least 10-13 per cent. While a more long-term plan is anticipated, this sudden plunge into an issue much neglected for a long time, has thrown light on other cities too that need to take a step now.
WHO Research shows that India has 13 out of 20 most polluted cities in the world, and the country is practically choking on toxic and unhealthy air. Booming industrialization, exceptionally crowded cities, rising traffic fumes and the widespread burning of trash are converging to make our cities the most polluted in the world.
While that is the case with urban India, rural areas paint a bad picture too, with major sources of pollution including being fuel wood/ biomass burning, and fuel adulteration. Large scale crop residue burning in farming lands as a low cost alternative to mechanical tilling – continues to be a major source of smoke, smog and particulate pollution.
As such, it is easy to overlook the health impacts of air pollution. Millions of Indian children are suffering from lung damage due to the toxic urban air. Exposure to particulate matter often leads to a rise in asthma, bronchitis, lung cancer and heart attacks rates in the population. In fact, a report suggested that outdoor air pollution was the fifth-largest killer in India with over six lakh deaths that occurred due to this in the year 2010 alone.
As early as 1981, the Government of India passed the Prevention and Control of Pollution Act in 1981, aiming at regulating air pollution and deciding upon measureable goals. Despite these efforts, India still ranked 155th of 178 countries, on the Environmental Performance Index.
This is why it is realized that public education and outreach on the issue of air pollution is highly important. Besides, it could be the only workable way to ensure extensive and lasting impact of efforts in the direction. In this direction,Greenpeace India is visiting all facilities of iKeva to educate on this rising crisis, share insights from their latest findings and discuss what each one of us, can do to help. The following activities would be held.
Here are few things you can help yourself with
Documentary screening: Videos depicting the effects of air pollution on day to day life will be screened
DIY Pollution tracker: Interested participants will be taught how to make a creative and easy pollution tracker, helping them know the quality of air they are breathing
Direct Dialogue: Greenpeace representatives will interact with participants on a one to one basis on the specific issue, and tell us how one can join the air pollution drive by signing the online petition and pledge for a clean air movement.
Sapling distribution: The importance of planting and nurturing a tree and the amount of pollution it absorbs thereby helping in cleaning the environment will be shared, and saplings would be distributed
Participants can also choose to contribute long-term to Greenpeace Campaigns across India and beyond, by becoming a volunteer/ contributor.
